John Barclay is Lightfoot Professor of Divinity at Durham University (since 2003) and has published widely on Pauline theology, on the social history of early Christianity, on ancient Judaism, and on the history of reception of Paul. His latest book, Paul and the Gift, explores the theme of grace in Paul, with a view to its interpretation by the Reformers.
